Two hundred years old thatched house

Oshino Village in Yamanashi Prefecture is a highland basin at the foot of Mount Fuji (940 meters above sea level), within 100 kilometers of Tokyo.

"Masuno Ie", a nostalgic thatched-roof inn in the village of Trout, is conveniently located next to the Oshino Hakkai and within a 2-minute walk to the same location.

A 200-year-old thatched-roof house (a former headman's house) was remodeled, and it is run by three generations of the family along with a Japanese garden on a plot of 6,000 square meters.

We also boast a bath overlooking the Japanese garden.

It is 'handmade' by the host using a zelkova tree on the premises.

The Great Hall

Meals will be served in the Great Hall on the first floor.

Annex bath

Each room does not have a bath, but there is a annex bath, reminiscent of a villa connected to the main house.

It is 15 minutes from the Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.

Booking conditions and notes

  1. Be sure to let us know if your check-in exceeds the scheduled time.
  2. Check-in for dinner must be done by 6pm.
  3. Children under 2 years old will not be charged. Please contact us for more information.
  4. Cancellation fees should be paid by bank transfer or registered mail. (Fees are at your expense.)
  5. Please make payment on site.

Cancellation fees will be charged as follows.

On the day: 100% of the room rate.

From 5 days before: 50% of the room rate.　

From 10 days before: 30% of the room rate.　


For no-shows, we will charge the following.

No-show/no-arrival without notice: 100% of the room rate.
